Forecast Vintages
Third-party forecasts (TrendForce, WSTS, company guidance) archived with their original publication date — the revision history no one else keeps.
- Coverage window
- 2018-01-15 → 2026-08-04 (218 rows)Computed from the backing series at page-render time — never typed by hand.
- History honesty
- Subject depth reaches 2018-01-15 via archive backfill (187 rows); continuous capture since 2026-07-19 (31 live rows).
- Cadence
- Weekly — the forecast-vintage routine sweeps Thursdays 11:06 Pacific; a new vintage appears only when a research firm or company publishes a fresh forecast. Quiet weeks add nothing (by design — vintages are event-driven).
- Revision policy
- Rows are immutable observations (freeze triggers). A wrong reading is corrected by appending a new row and registering the correction; review_status is the only mutable field.

- Known gaps
- There is no closed universe of forecasters — coverage tracks who publishes publicly, and paywalled research (full IDC or Yole reports) enters only when publicly quoted. The originator mix balances research firms, industry bodies, and company guidance, with vintages back to 2018. Forecasts are recorded as published and never edited retroactively: when an originator updates a number, a new row supersedes the old one, preserving what was believed and when. Anonymous aggregators without named accountability — a published methodology, a named analyst, or a regulatory filing — are excluded.Authored 2026-08-15; next review 2026-11-15.
